At African Tribal Gems, your satisfaction is important to us. If you’re not completely happy with your purchase, we’ll do our best to make it right.

Returns & Eligibility

You may return an item if:

  • It arrived damaged or defective
  • You received the wrong item
  • You’re unsatisfied with your purchase

Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order. All returns must be sent back within 14 days of delivery.

Return Conditions

To qualify for a return:

  • Items must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging
  • Proof of purchase (order number or receipt) is required
  • Items must be securely packaged for return

Items that cannot be returned:

  • Gift cards
  • Custom or made-to-order pieces
  • Clearance or final sale items
  • Any item returned after 14 days of delivery

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you about the status of your refund.

  • If approved, your refund will be processed within 5–10 business days
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error

Exchanges

We replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need an exchange for the same item, please email us at [your email address] with your order number and details.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to our mistake. We recommend using a trackable shipping service.

International Returns

For returns outside South Africa, please label the package clearly as “Returned Merchandise”. We are not responsible for customs charges on returned items.
